Project Overview
Annually the game Star Citizen hosts an in-game event called Invictus Launch Week promoting the United Empire of Earth's (UEE) Navy. The event serves as an in-game fictional military promotion while also showcasing the latest and greatest ships.
In this, the fourth annual Invictus promotional trailer with Cloud Imperium Games, we developed the sequence around a collaborative community mural featuring a range of artistic styles. Strong themes of camaraderie and diplomacy are featured in combination with the powerful fleet of the UEE navy. The vignettes are rendered with different artistic mediums, taking textural and artistic process inspiration from charcoal sketch, oil paint, and watercolor.
