Project Overview
Ripple is a cryptocurrency marketing itself as the next global decentralized financial solution. Ripple Swell is a community convention bringing together guest speakers to discuss tech and financial issues surrounding crypto currency.
The brief was to create a branded intro film for the event to introduce the opening keynote address by CEO Brad Garlinghouse. The event was also live streamed so the opening film served as a conference title building anticipation for the event. The established brand system for Ripples annual event features a stylized map of the conventions new location. This design abstracts the map delineations of the boroughs in the Greater London area. Leveraging the 2D brand elements I helped design, animate and art direct the team to create a snappy, energetic sequence that blends 2D and 3D elements. Though abstract there is a underlying story of a large community converging on one central location.
